How it works
-
Answer five questions
How many of you, how many dinners, what you don't eat, how long you can cook on a weeknight, and where you shop.
-
Get your week
Weekplate picks the dinners, mixes up what you eat, and plans a double batch for a night off. Don't fancy one? Swap it.
-
Shop from one list
Tick what's already in the cupboard. The rest is one list in whole packs, sorted by aisle, with anything else you need added in.
Why Weekplate
- It decides for you
- No scrolling through recipes on a Sunday night. You get a whole week, and change only what you want.
- Whole packs, less waste
- The list says what to buy as it's sold, a pack of 8 or 2 × 400g, and plans the week so short-life food gets used.
- Nothing to sign up for
- Your week stays on your phone. There's no account, and Weekplate doesn't ask who you are.
- Works in your browser
- Open it on your phone and plan. Add it to your home screen and it works offline, in the shop too.
Shop where you already shop
Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Morrisons, Ocado and Waitrose. Weekplate takes you through your list one item at a time, in your own account on the shop's website. It doesn't fill the basket for you, so you choose every product.
Questions
Is it free?
Yes. Planning your week and your shopping list are free.
Do I need an account?
No. Everything is saved on your phone, in your browser. Nobody else sees it.
Which shops does it work with?
Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Morrisons, Ocado and Waitrose online. You can also take the list to any shop: it's sorted by aisle.
Does it order my food?
No. It shows each item ready to search in your shop's website or app, and you add the product you want. Weekplate never sees your shop account.
Can it avoid foods I don't eat?
Yes. Tick meats, fish or other foods you don't eat, or search for any ingredient, and no dinner will use them. There's no allergy mode, so always check the labels.
Does it work offline?
Yes, once it's open. Add it to your home screen and your week and list work without signal.
When are the iPhone and Android apps coming?
They're being built now. Leave your email and we'll tell you once, when they're out.
